What do you do at Narrative?
I’m part of the communications team, primarily managing everything inbound – listening and responding to as much as possible in all social media platforms.
What’s one thing we should know about you?
I love food and music, both consuming and making. (The former more than the latter)
What book have you recently finished, or are currently reading?
Sex, Ecology, Spirituality by Ken Wilber. It’s a work of meta-philosophy, condensing and drawing conclusions from thinkers in sociology, hard science, religion and other fields. Have been picking it up and putting it down again for years. Other writings of his are more accessible, but this one is pretty dense. And an awesome mindshot.
Favorite non-work-related website:
coursera.org – I recently took the Gamfication online course there, it’s a great place for learning outside the classroom.
What did you want to be as a child?
Researcher/scientist. (I was too little to be more specific than that!)
Best advice you have ever received:
Learn to project your intention with intensity into situations that call for it. Both my first martial arts instructor and Brian Klemmer (a personal development teacher) taught me that.
Favorite Quote:
“Entrepreneurship is the pursuit of opportunity without regard to resources currently controlled.” – Howard Stevenson, professor at Harvard Business School. Isn’t it a beautiful definition?
Moment you would like to relive:
My first stroll through central Tokyo, newly arrived as a high school exchange student. THAT sense of awe, bewilderment and adventure..!
