How did you hear about Narrative and how long have you been using your Clip?
I heard about the Clip through a lifelogging blog I was reading. At the time I was in training for a 100k charity walk and I thought the Clip would be excellent for recording the walk without carrying a heavy camera. Unfortunately, you were still prototyping so I had to wait until March 2014 to get hold of one.

How often do you use your Clip and in what settings?
I wear my Clip most days although sometimes at work people ask me to take it off (that’s what you get for working in a social sciences department where people are hyper aware of privacy issues!)

Describe what draws you to this kind of technology.
I love recording life as it happens warts and all. What’s brilliant about the Narrative is that its easy to use and unobtrusive. My grandmother and great uncle were fanatical cine camera users and some of the best records of my growing up and the village where I lived are from their films so I think there’s something in my blood.

How do you wear/use the camera?
I usually just clip it to whatever I’m wearing. I find wearing it on the waistband of my jeans gets the best shots and people seem to notice it less.

What’s the most surprising and/or interesting photo you’ve gotten so far?
I really like some of the shots when the colours are a little bit off but this one from the front row of the Cambridge Folk Festival last year shots of Kate Rusby and her band are really clear.

Do you have any stories around how people react to the Clip?
I chose a bright orange clip so people could see it that way if they ask what it is and are uncomfortable with being photographed. All I can say is I wish I had a pound for everyone who asked for details of here they could buy one I’d have a fairly healthy bank balance! Usually people are very interested in the idea especially when I show them the phone app.

What is best moment you’ve captured with the Narrative Clip and why?
My best shot was absolutely the one I caught of my wife laughing at our wedding. That candid shot alone was worth the price of the camera.

How do you remember to wear your Clip?
I keep it in my pocket all the time so if I have taken it off for some reason I can feel it there.

What’s a feature(s) you’d really like to see added to the Narrative service in the future?
I’d really like to see way to use the shots in a ‘stop motion’ video sequence without having to buy fancy software. I’d also alike some kind of ‘date search’ for the phone app so you don’t have to scroll all the way through. Also I’ve just taken up SCUBA diving so how about a narrative that goes down to 50 metres!

Anything else you’d like to add or other Clip photos you’d like to share?
I’m looking forward to seeing the new features of the new clip and keeping my fingers crossed to win one in the competition!

This is me wearing the clip at my wedding! Got some great shots that day and didn’t even have to think about it.
